Art has been around for over 1000 years. It starts as a visual study of arts, being being concerned with identifying, classifying, describing, evaluating, interpreting, and understanding the art products and historic development. From different fields like paintings, architecture, drawing, sculpturing, etc. It has developed into a hobby that anyone can do and have fun with it. There’s also art historical research with two primary concerns. When looking at an art piece our first instinct is to discover who made a particular art object that mystery can drive some insane. After that brain goes into a process to figure out everything about one piece of art like to authenticate an art object, determining whether it was indeed made by the artist to whom it is traditionally attributed , to determine at what stage in a culture’s development or in an artist’s career the object in question was made, to assay the influence of one artist on succeeding ones in the historical past, and to gather biographical data on artists and documentation on the previous whereabouts and ownership of particular works of art. Then the second primary concern of art historical research is to understand the stylistic and formal development of artistic traditions on a large scale and within a broad historical perspective; this chiefly involves the enumeration and analysis of the various artistic styles, periods, movements, and schools of the past.
Now looking at ancient art pieces and comparing it to modern art pieces. The difference is big between the brightness of the colors, and the different techniques that artist learn from past artists. Art has developed from the people that had an interest. The past artist found out by mistake that art is something that they can’t like without. Artist now had the time to know that they are passionate about art, and that they should make it into a career from themselves. From what I learn we have it easy compared to the artist that lived centuries before us. We took inspiration from different art pieces apart of different art eras like the Renaissance. The Renaissance arts took inspiration from ancient art work that we forgot about through time. The ancient artist they didn’t have a solid inspiration they only had caveman drawings they did almost everything by themselves. That’s something that artist now are missing the creativity and drive of thinking about something new instead of using AI to make it for you. Art should be about your self expression, not about technology and mainly AI taking over leaving no jobs for artists. I’m not directly against it, it’s that people should use it to find inspiration for a piece, not use it for your piece. With art all around us try to do something that you loved to make, and maybe think of new ideas on how art can inspire others around us.
